OnlyReelFans is a podcast series that acts as a movie club, and much more. At the start of the pandemic, Karen Twins Productions founders, Dillon Antonius Bentlage and Brian Reilly, formed a monthly movie club where they’d pick a theme (genre, actor, director, etc.) and take the month to watch a set of movies that fell under the theme. Once the month ended, they would do a call to discuss what they watched. After a couple of months of doing this, they decided to turn the movie club into a podcast. Now, everyone can tune in to listen to Dillon, Brian, and special guests virtually gather to do a fun, semi-deep dive into the films they watch each month.
Tom Richards and Ben Webster of the UK rock band, Soft Girls & Boys Club, join the show to talk about the latest and greatest additions to the horror genre: Ari Aster, Robert Eggers, and Jordan Peele. We dive into each of their films (Hereditary, Midsommar, The Witch, The Lighthouse, Get Out, and Us) and the unique spins they're implementing into horror.
