OnlyReelFans is a podcast series that acts as a movie club, and much more. At the start of the pandemic, Karen Twins Productions founders, Dillon Antonius Bentlage and Brian Reilly, formed a monthly movie club where they’d pick a theme (genre, actor, director, etc.) and take the month to watch a set of movies that fell under the theme. Once the month ended, they would do a call to discuss what they watched. After a couple of months of doing this, they decided to turn the movie club into a podcast. Now, everyone can tune in to listen to Dillon, Brian, and special guests virtually gather to do a fun, semi-deep dive into the films they watch each month.
Ep. 6: An Appreciation for Music in Film
This episode is different than the usual ones. Dillon and Brian are joined by musicians Tom Richards, Jasper Van Dijk, and Kyle Franklin to discuss music in film and the wonders of composing music. Tom Richards is the guitarist for the UK rock band Soft Girls and Boys Club and he also composes the songs in each episode of OnlyReelFans. Jasper Van Dijk and Kyle Franklin are a film score composing duo that have composed for every Karen Twins production. The songs featured in this episode are:
